The overall purpose for the position:
Lead a team of software developers focusing on the development and maintenance of patch clamp software products for electrophysiological and electrochemical measurements.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of patch-clamp software packages
- Manage a team of internal and external engineers
- Maintaining existing source code of patch clamp software
- Developing new features for the software package
- Adding new devices to the software package
Typical tasks to do:
Understanding application and associated existing source code, maintaining complex software product packages, creation of installers, and integration of new data acquisition hardware and related amplifiers to a data acquisition software package.

Necessary skills, knowledge, and experience required:
- Managing skills to gather requirements and lead the development team
- Outstanding programming skills in C++
- Experience with QT platform
- Experience with C#, .Net, WPF
- Experience with programming on Mac and Windows platforms advantageous
- Experience and good knowledge in the field of development and maintenance of complex software for data acquisition and analysis
- Language skills in German and English in spoken and written
Necessary personal qualifications & competencies required:
- Degree in programming, Electrical Engineering, IT, Science or equivalent
- Experience in electrophysiological data processing advantageous
